Sample Projects Current NAVFAC IDIQ: AMS is currently the managing venturer of Association of Consultants and Engineers (ACE) who was awarded a 5-year IDIQ ($30 million) for environmental services from Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington. We have been awarded over 30 task orders in the first year and the projects currently being completed are diverse.

AMS is a recent graduate of the SBA 8(a) program and, over the past 10 years, was awarded over $10 million in sole-sourced contracts for environmental services at NAVFAC Washington and surrounding facilities. Along with completing task orders similar to those awarded in the current ACE IDIQ, AMS also provided : radon technical services, plan updates (e.g. SPCC, Facility Response Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Hazardous Waste Management Plans), vulnerability assessments, underground storage tank inspections, stormwater best management practice inspections, oil water separator conductivity investigations, and clear cutting services (including bald eagle monitoring and sediment/erosion control permit support for the tree clearing). - Environmental Management Systems: AMS provided a wide range of environmental compliance support services for NAS Patuxent River Complex (NASPRC), with a focus on rolling out their Environmental Management System (EMS). The EMS rollout involved performing environmental liability surveys, training facility EMS representatives, developing and updating environmental plans and procedures, and improving the facility's online environmental management tool.
- Air Quality - CEMS (Ongoing Project): For more than five years across multiple contracts, AMS has assisted the Washington Navy Yard with the Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) and Continuous Opacity Monitoring System (COMS) associated with their boilers. This includes all audits, repairs, and maintenance on the CEMS/COMS, software support and updates, and CEMS Manual reviews and updates.
- NAS Patuxent River Utility Work: AMS assisted NAS Patuxent River Utilities with development of various plans including their Wellhead Protection Plan, Drinking Water Sampling Program, Cross-Connection Backflow Prevention Control Plan, and Water Conservation Plan.
- MCB Quantico Fuel Tanks: Performed maintenance, repairs, and formal SP001 inspections for over 70 aboveground storage tanks at MCB Quantico.
- Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan Updates for NAS Patuxent River: AMS developed SPCC plans for NAS Patuxent River Complex. This included developing improved and more streamlined response procedures, verifying emergency numbers, and conducting field visits to storage containers.
- EPCRA: Assisted NSA Washington, NSA Bethesda, and NSA Annapolis with EPCRA services. This included performing field surveys to collect hazardous chemical data, performing necessary calculations, and developing Tier II and 313 reports.
- Stormwater Support for NSA Bethesda: Provided several stormwater support services including developing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and stormwater training materials, labeling outfalls and BMPs, and updating the facility's GIS maps (involved surveying and collecting GPS data in the field, updating associated GIS layers, and submitting survey reports).
- Regulated Waste Management Plan (RWMP) and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan (CP) for NSF Dahlgren: Reviewed and updated hazardous waste documents for NSF Dahlgren including their RWMP and CP, with focus on incorporating the requirements of the EPA's new Pharmaceutical Rule. CP updates also included field surveys of hazardous waste storage areas, map updates, and updating response numbers and procedures
